Rabbi Jordan, the founder and director of JAC, holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business and a Master in Education, both from John’s Hopkins University in Maryland. He has a passion for the Jewish People, Hashem’s Torah, the Land of Israel and the Montreal Canadians. He is known for helping students realize their dream of studying in Israel. He secures scholarships, finds students jobs, and books tickets. Hit him up for help anytime!
Risa Brumer is a beloved mentor to the JAC students and alumni. She loves teaching Torah, staffing JAC trips, and winning games of Settlers of Catan. She is known for the love and support she provides to the students during their years in college and beyond.
The Weiss Family
ARIZONA STATE & ARIZONA
Born and raised in NY, Rabbi Yehuda Weiss spent several years studying Jewish philosophy and Talmudic law at some of the most renowned Yeshivas in Israel and the United States. A dynamic speaker, Rabbi Weiss is known for his classes which are relatable, engaging and a real treat to attend! When he finishes presenting, students are most often glued to their seats wanting more. . He spends his time meeting with people all over the city, focusing on different subjects, attuned to the desires of the people he’s learning with. One of his passions is guiding people and watching them access and actualize their unique individual missions.
The Lopez Family
Yosef Lopez was born and raised in Tucson, AZ. He spent 5 years learning in Israel at institutions that include Ohr Somayach and Yeshivat Darché Noam, and as well as studying with prominent Rabbis in Rockville, MD and in San Diego, CA. He is known for his passion for learning and teaching Torah. He believes that living Jewishly is best summarised as “loving truth and peace”. In his free time, Yosef can be found in coffee shops or spending time with his family.
Sara Lopez grew up in Orange County, CA. She received her Bachelor’s degree in religious studies from Santa Barbara and her Master’s degree in nonprofit management in Jerusalem. Sara made Aliyah to Israel after she graduated university, learned at Neve Yerushalayim, met Yosef, and had their first son Avraham. As a trained opera singer and with a deep passion for the arts, it has always been important for Sara to make platforms for creative expression. Yosef and Sara are so thrilled for this opportunity, and they would like to invite you to come spend Shabbat with them!
Andrew Gibbs joined JAC in August 2015 through a great partnership with Hillel at ASU. This position is generously funded with support from the Jewish Federation of Greater Phoenix. Andrew spent his first year after high school graduation in Israel attending Hebrew University in Jerusalem and doing community work in Be’er Sheva. A die hard Sun Devils fan, Andrew returned to Arizona and graduated from ASU with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and certificates in Jewish Studies and International relations. Students love hanging out with Andrew. He is always available to talk all things Israel, Judaism, sports, sitcoms, and 80's music!

Emily Bonner attended ASU from 2014-2018 and graduated with a degree in Economics. She loves spending her free time at the beach, her favorite color is yellow, and because of JAC, Emily has spent her last 3 summers in her favorite place, Israel!

Linus has been part of the JAC family since 2018. His relaxed hypoallergenic nature makes him the perfect fit for the job! He loves challah and chicken so you will most often find him near a Shabbat table!!
