Andrew Gibbs, a proud ASU alum, joined the JAC team through a great partnership with Hillel at ASU as their Israel Education Coordinator in August 2015. Andrew has been involved in the Jewish community for as long as he can remember including co-founding Sun Devils for Israel (now Students Supporting Israel) as an undergraduate at ASU, and previously working for BBYO and serving on the boards of AIPAC Phoenix and his synagogue. When he’s not engaging with the great students of ASU, Andrew teaches various classes in Congregation Beth Israel’s Religious School. After seeing firsthand the apathy many Jewish young adults have for Israel, he feels privileged to have the opportunity to share his passion for the Jewish homeland through educational, cultural, religious, and social events. Andrew’s office door is always open to talk all things Israel, Judaism, sports, sitcoms, and 80s music. Andrew and his wife Rachel (who he met through JAC) live in Scottsdale and love hosting students for Shabbat meals.
