Aaron Rosen

Aaron Rosen grew up in Boston Massachusetts. In his youth he was drawn to music, first as a hobby playing drum set and other musical instruments, until high school when he started playing professionally in different Jazz groups in Boston. After spending a few years studying and performing music full time he decided that it was time for an adventure. He and his brother, also a musician, packed their stuff in a Nissan Maxima and hit the road for Phoenix, Arizona. Not knowing what to expect, he discovered more than he could have imagined.

After meeting a few inspiring Jewish friends, he started exploring Jewish philosophy and thought in ways he had not experienced before. He found that an awakening occurred within him revealing a deep appreciation for his Judaism. He immersed himself in his Jewish studies while continuing to work on developing his music, until he met his wife to be Ariel, who was also on a similar path, and went along side her on a Birthright trip to Israel. Discovering a deep passion for the Jewish homeland, they decided to return to Israel after marrying, for full time Judaic studies as a continuation of their learning in Phoenix and New York.

The Rosens returned from Israel to bring to JAC a youthful love and connection to Judaism, and to share with other students their passion, care, and hope for the future of the Jewish people.

Rabbi Eli

Add on FaceBook

Since joining JAC, Eli Adler has made a name for himself by being able to bowl a 300 and sometimes 299 (although it takes him three or four games).

Hailing from Brooklyn, he learned to play a couple of musical instruments during his elementary school years (mostly while staying home for suspensions). He began playing keyboard professionally when he was thirteen.

Over the next couple of years he built up a steady client base while performing at weddings and Bar Mitzvahs and became a regular on the Jewish music scene in New York. Between then and now Eli has somehow graduated high school, spent three years studying in Israel, became a lifeguarding and water safety instructor, an EMT, and almost memorized the script of the "The Great Muppet Caper".

Most recently he spent some time in New Jersey where he received his BA. Currently living in Phoenix with his wife Chani and three delicious children, Eli likes to spend his free time perfecting his air guitar technique.

Over the last four years, Rabbi Jordan and his wife Risa have put smiles on the faces of countless Jewish College students around the world. It all started in the Old City of Jerusalem, where the Brumers worked for the Heritage House Youth Hostel. There, they hosted Shabbat dinners for hundreds of College students from Hebrew University and students Israel. Rabbi Jordan also gave classes and led discussions in the Old City on contemporary Jewish topics, and he built up a loyal following.

The Brumers then moved to La Jolla, California. Rabbi Jordan became heavily involved in Jewish life on the campus of the University of California San Diego(UCSD), where he helped start the standing-room-only Carlebach style Shabbat service. Along with teaching a weekly class on campus, Rabbi Jordan was a proud Board member of the Hillel Foundation of San Diego.

Four years ago, the Brumers made the long trek to Arizona. They live in Scottsdale, along with their five beautiful children. In the summer of 2006, he helped found Jewish Arizonans on Campus (JAC). Rabbi Jordan can be seen on campus drinking Starbucks with students, tabling on the Mall, and making sushi. His gourmet cooking has brought him worldwide fame as the best Rabbi-chef on campus.
