Over the last six years, Rabbi Jordan and his wife Risa have put smiles on the faces of countless Jewish College students around the world. It all started in the Old City of Jerusalem, where the Brumers worked for the Heritage House Youth Hostel. There, they hosted Shabbat dinners for hundreds of College students from Hebrew University and students Israel. Rabbi Jordan also gave classes and led discussions in the Old City on contemporary Jewish topics, and he built up a loyal following.

The Brumers then moved to La Jolla, California. Rabbi Jordan became heavily involved in Jewish life on the campus of the University of California San Diego(UCSD), where he helped start the standing-room-only Carlebach style Shabbat service. Along with teaching a weekly class on campus, Rabbi Jordan was a proud Board member of the Hillel Foundation of San Diego.

Four years ago, the Brumers made the long trek to Arizona. They live in Scottsdale, along with their five beautiful children. In the summer of 2006, he helped found Jewish Arizonans on Campus (JAC). Rabbi Jordan can be seen on campus drinking Starbucks with students, tabling on the Mall, and making sushi. His gourmet cooking has brought him worldwide fame as the best Rabbi-chef on campus.
